Albergaria Senhora do Monte view

Lisbon three-star hotels

Albergaria Senhora do Monte a personal favorite
For a view that you'll never forget, book a room at this hilltop albergaria in the Graça neighborhood and enjoy breakfast on the terrace each morning. Ask for a room overlooking the city (not the street), and be prepared for a grueling climb up cobblestoned streets and stone staircases when you return from your day's outings.

Botánico
As its name suggests, the highly-rated Hotel Botánico is near the Botanical Garden, a few short blocks west of the Avenida da Liberdade.

Dom Carlos Park
Behind its spiffy glass façade, the Dom Carlos Park is a modern hotel with wood-paneled rooms. It's one of the better bargains in its neighborhood near the Marques de Pombal Square.

Dom Carlos Liberty
All 59 air-conditioned rooms at the former Hotel Presidente have double-glazed windows to block street noise. The hotel is just off the Avenida da Liberdade between the Marques de Pombal square and the city center. Rooms accommodate 1, 2, or 3 guests.

Dom Sancho I
The Hotel Residencial Dom Sancho I is a great value for its location: The hotel is just off the Avenida da Liberdade, within walking distance of downtown.

Metropole
You'll love the Hotel Metropole's location, especially if you're planning an excursion to Sintra: The hotel is on the Rossio square near the railroad station, Metro stop, and flower stalls. It's in a listed building that dates back to 1917, and many of the furnishings are original.

Miraparque
The 96-room Hotel Miraparque is on the east side of the Parque Eduardo VII, about a block from the Parque Metro station and within walking distance of the El Corte Inglês department store. Like many hotels in the largely residential neighborhood, it was built in the 1950s.

SANA Reno
The Gulbenkian Museum is withing walking distance of this Sana property in a newer area of Lisbon. The hotel has a rooftop swimming pool, parking garage, Jacuzzi, and sauna.

SANA Rex
This member of the Sana chain overlooks the Eduardo VII Park--a great location for a hotel in its price range. It has 59 rooms and 9 suites, all with double-glazed windows and adjustable-spring mattresses.

VIP Executive Zurique
The Zurique is a modern hotel in Lisbon's new financial district, not far from the Gulbenkian Museum and about 1 km from the Marques de Pombal Square. (Its location isn't ideal for sightseeing on foot, but on the plus side, the Zurique has an outdoor swimming pool and is near a Metro stop.)

VIP Inn Berna Hotel
The Berna is a high-rise outside of the city center--near the bullring, the airport, and the Campo Pequeno Metro stop. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available.
