Civitavecchia fortress and grain elevators

The photo above was taken from the southern end of the waterfront in Civitavecchia, where the seaside park was still being completed at the time the picture was taken. (It was complete during a more recent visit.)

In this telephoto view, you can see a row of grain elevators in the commercial port, with the stack of the cruise ship MSC Splendida poking above the Michelangelo fortress.
