Helping 30+ million Venice travelers since 1997 |
About Venice for Visitors
Venice for Visitors began life in early 1996 as "The Baby Boomer's Venice." In 1997, it became Venice for Visitors at The Mining Co. (later renamed About.com). We've operated the site independently since 2001 as the most popular section of Europe for Visitors (our Forbes and Washington Post "Best of the Web" site about European travel and cruising). Over the years, we've helped more than 30 million travelers plan their trips to Venice. PC Magazine has called this site "the premier visitors' site for Venice, Italy," and we've been featured in other publications ranging from guidebooks to The New York Times. We're also earned hundreds of unsolicited links from major publishers such as CNN, the BBC, and Wikipedia. We continue to invest countless hours and thousands of euros in creating, maintaining, and publishing useful material for independent travelers--and in serving it via a state-of-the-art Content Delivery Network with more than 200 data centers around the world. Everything here is free. You don't need to buy an e-book, an app, or a subscription to read our in-depth information and advice. We don't solicit donations, and we don't sell links or publish "sponsored content." (We support our site with ads plus referral fees from Europe's No. 1 secure reservations site, Booking.com, which we use for our own business and vacation travel.) Don't forget to write! We welcome your feedback via e-mail. You can reach us at contacts@europeforvisitors.com. Thanks, - Durant and Cheryl Imboden |
