From the Zattere pier of the Alilaguna Blue Line, walking directions to the hotel are straightforward, with only one small bridge to cross.
How to reach Hotel American Dinesen from the Zattere

-
As you leave the Alilaguna
Linea Blu floating pier at Zattere, turn right and
walk along the waterfront to the stone bridge beyond the Hotel Calcina.
-
Cross the bridge.
-
Turn left and walk inland along the San Vio Canal on the
Fondamenta Bragadin.
-
In a minute or two, you'll reach the Hotel American Dinesen.
From the San Basilio cruise pier:
-
Leave the terminal by the main doors and walk to the wooden
bridge.
-
Cross the bridge and continue walking along the waterfront,
past the vaporetto stop and the Billa supermarket.
-
When you reach a stone bridge (the Ponte Lungo), cross it
and keep walking straight ahead past two churches.
-
When you reach the Hotel Calcina, cross the stone bridge
just ahead of you.
-
On the other side of the bridge, turn left and walk inland
along the Fondamenta Bragadin until you see the Hotel American Dinesen on
your right.
From the Marittima cruise terminals:
-
Take the Alilaguna Blue Line airport boat from the cruise
basin to the second stop (Zattere). The price will be about half of the fare
to the airport.
