Hotel Canal & Walter photo

The three-star Hotel Canal & Walter is on the Grand Canal, within an easy walk (albeit with two small bridges) of the Piazzale Roma. It's convenient to airport buses, taxis, the Marittima cruise terminals, and Venice's main Santa Lucia railroad station.

How to reach the Hotel Canal & Walter from the Piazzale Roma:

Hotel Canal & Walter map directions

  1. Walk to the tree-lined side of the Piazzale Roma where a red-and-white crosswalk from the central bus area feeds into a sidewalk through the trees.

  2. Go through the trees, past the vendor stands, to a low stone bridge.

  3. Cross the bridge. On the other side of the canal, turn left and walk along the fondamenta or sidewalk by the park.

  4. When you reach the corner, continue around to the right.

  5. Beyond the park, you'll reach a second small bridge. Cross it.

  6. The Hotel Canal & Walter is just after the bridge, facing the Grand Canal.
