Walking directions to the Hotel Casa Verardo (with map)
The Hotel Casa Verardo Residenza d'Epoca is a gem in its class: The small boutique hotel occupies a 16th Century palazzo overlooking a canal in a quiet, off-the-beaten-path location not far from the Piazza San Marco.
One of the hotel's most charming features is the "Garden of the Column," a pretty courtyard where you can sit (and, if you wish, enjoy a drink) in good weather. The Casa Verardo also has a large formal drawing room upstairs on the piano nobile, plus a terrace overlooking the canal alongside the hotel. Room types range from singles, doubles, and triples to two- and four-person junior suites. (Some rooms are in a well-appointed annex a few minutes from the main building.)
