Booking.com
The
Hotel La Residenza is on a large, quiet neighborhood square slightly inland
from Venice's fashionable Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront promenade. It's close
to the Piazza San Marco and only a short walk (with one bridge to cross) from
public boat transportation.
The two-star hotel, which is housed in a restored palazzo, has a traditional
Venetian decor and a large, ornately-furnished lounge with high ceilings that
you wouldn't expect to find in a hotel of this category.
All 16 rooms are air-conditioned and include free Wi-Fi.
How to reach Hotel La Resizenza from the Alilaguna
Linea Blu airport-boat pier at Arsenale:
-
As you leave the Arsenale waterbus pier, turn left and walk to
the stone bridge ahead of you.
-
Cross the bridge.
-
Continue walking along the waterfront, past the Hotel Gabrieli
Sandwirth and other large buildings that face the promenade.
-
Turn right at the Calle del Dose, a narrow street just before a
large red stucco building with a small clock on the right corner of its façade.
-
Walk a block inland to the Campo Bandiera o de la Bragora,
where you'll see the Hotel La Residenza facing the square with a red banner
above the entrance.
From the Marittima cruise terminals:
-
Take the Alilaguna Blue Line airport boat from the
bottom of the U-shaped cruise
basin to Arsenale. (The price will be about half of the fare to the airport.)
-
Follow the directions above.
From the San Basilio cruise pier:
-
Leave the terminal by the main doors and walk to the wooden
bridge.
-
Cross the bridge and walk a short distance to the vaporetto
station.
-
Take the No. 2 vaporetto (water bus) in the direction of San
Zaccaria.
-
Get off at the Zaccaria stop, turn right, cross the stone
bridge, and continue walking along the waterfront until you reach the
Calle del Dose.
-
Turn left and walk a block inland to the Campo Bandiera o de
la Bragora, where you'll see the Hotel La Residenza facing the square with a
red banner above the entrance.
