The Hotel Palazzo Abadessa (residenza d'epoca) is a four-star boutique hotel in a former Doge's residence from the 1500s. The building is just what you'd expect of an authentic palazzo: It has a dramatic entrance hall, period furnishings, enough frescoed ceilings and paintings to keep a museum curator happy, and a garden where you can sit on a marble bench or have breakfast amid the flowers and trees.
