Duomo di MestreFrom: Introducing Mestre-Marghera
The Duomo di Mestre, a.k.a. Mestre Cathedral or the Church of San Lorenzo, is on the southeastern side of the Piazza Ferretto. The church was first documented in 1152, and the current building was constructed between 1781 and 1805.
The chiesa's interior is no rival to the famous church interiors of Venice, but it's worth exploring if you have an interest in ecclesastical art. Next page: Piazza Edmondo Matter and Torre dell'Orologio
