If you have an early-morning Ryanair or Transavia flight out of Treviso Airport, you may find it worthwhile to stay in that city instead of taking the Treviso airport bus from the Piazzale Roma in Venice. Or maybe you'd just like to spend the night in a prosperous, attractive small city with a walled medieval center and a good supply of fashionable restaurants, cafés, bars, and shops.

Hotel Carlton ****
The Carlton, like the Continental, is handy for train and bus travelers. It's on the edge of the city center, near the railroad station.

Many of these hotels are on Treviso's outskirts, so choose your hotel carefully unless you've got a car or don't mind relying on city buses.
