Conferences and groups

Venice attracts a great many scientific, medical, government, and corporate meetings throughout the year. Unfortunately, it can be hard for conference-goers to keep their minds on business when Venice's prime tourist attractions are just outside the hotel door.

The San Clemente Palace is an ideal conference venue for a simple reason: It's 15 minutes away from the historic center by boat, allowing conferees to focus on their mission until the organizers turn them loose for sightseeing.

The hotel's Congress Center is separate from the main hotel building. It has meeting and banquet space for groups of 16 to 450 guests, both indoors and in the adjacent gardens. The meeting and reception rooms are equipped with all the usual conveniences, including audiovisual equipment, videoconferencing, simultaneous interpreting, and a hefty 220VAC electrical supply. (Electricity comes from the mainland by underwater cable, so you can fire up your corporate laser show without fear of blackouts.)
