BuranoFrom: Venice Waterbus Stops Burano is the only ACTV stop on the island of the same name, which is famous for its colorfully-painted houses and is home to the Museo del Merletto or Lace Museum. Silvia Zanella, a licensed guide who was born and raised on the island, offers inexpensive Discover Burano walking tours in English and Italian. Burano is in the northern reaches of the Venetian Lagoon, about 40 minutes by boat from Venice's Fondamente Nove vaporetto station.
