FusinaFrom: Venice Waterbus Stops Fusina is a waterbus stop on the Venetian mainland, south of Mestre and Marghera. The surrounding area is industrial, and the station is used mostly by workers. (This could change in a few years, since government officials hope to move an existing car ferry station from Venice's Tronchetto parking island to a new terminal on Fusina.) The Fusina platform is currently served by:
A large campground with bungalows, Fusina Camping, is near the boat landing. From the campground--which has a restaurant and grocery store--you can take the water bus to Venice or a land bus to Marghera. Note: Fusina didn't have a ticket booth or vending machine the last time we checked, but you can pay your fare when boarding. (Fares are higher than on a standard vaporetto.)
